Inventory Management

Never miss a restock again. Automated daily FBA inventory checks, predictive stockout alerts, restock task creation, and team notifications on autopilot.

Start free trial

Jarvio checks your FBA inventory every day via the SP-API, identifies products approaching restock thresholds, calculates days-of-stock remaining based on recent sales velocity, creates restock tasks in your project management tool, updates your tracking spreadsheet, and alerts your team via Slack or email. One workflow replaces 30 minutes of daily manual checking.

Daily automated monitoring

Every morning, Jarvio checks inventory levels across your entire catalogue via Amazon's SP-API. Products below your restock threshold are flagged automatically.

Restock task creation

When a product needs restocking, Jarvio creates a task in Asana, ClickUp, or Notion with product details, current stock, sales velocity, and recommended order quantity.

Team alerts

Critical stock levels trigger immediate Slack or email alerts to the right team members. No more discovering stockouts after they have already hit your sales velocity.

Days-of-stock tracking

AI calculates days of stock remaining based on recent sales velocity, accounting for trends and seasonality. See which products will run out first and plan accordingly.

The True Cost of Stockouts

A stockout does not just cost you the sales you miss while out of stock. It costs you organic ranking. Amazon's A9 algorithm rewards products with consistent sales velocity. When you stock out for even 3 to 5 days, your organic ranking drops. Recovering that ranking after restocking can take 2 to 4 weeks and often requires increased ad spend to regain visibility.

For a product selling 20 units per day at $30 each, a 5-day stockout means $3,000 in lost revenue during the outage. But the ranking recovery period can cost another $2,000 to $5,000 in increased advertising and slower organic sales. The total impact of a single stockout event: $5,000 to $8,000 for one product. Multiply that across your catalogue and the numbers become painful quickly.

How Jarvio's Inventory Monitoring Works

Jarvio connects to Amazon's SP-API and pulls your FBA inventory data on a schedule you define (daily is most common). For each product, it calculates:

  • Current FBA stock: Units available, units in transfer, units reserved.
  • Sales velocity: Average daily sales over 7, 14, and 30-day windows. The shorter windows catch recent trends; the longer windows smooth out anomalies.
  • Days of stock remaining: Current stock divided by daily sales velocity. This is the number you care about most.
  • Restock urgency: Based on your lead time (how long it takes from placing an order to receiving it at FBA), Jarvio calculates when you need to reorder to avoid running out.

When a product's days-of-stock falls below your configured threshold (most sellers use 21 to 30 days), Jarvio triggers your alert workflow.

From Alert to Action

A stock alert without context is not useful. Jarvio's restock alerts include everything your team needs to take action immediately:

  • Product name and SKU
  • Current stock level and daily sales velocity
  • Estimated days until stockout
  • Recommended reorder quantity (based on your configured lead time and target stock level)

The alert can be delivered to Slack (for visibility across the team), email (for the person who places orders), and simultaneously create a task in Asana, ClickUp, or Notion (for tracking). For sellers who track inventory in Google Sheets, Jarvio can also update the spreadsheet with current stock levels and recommendations automatically.

Seasonal Adjustments and Velocity Spikes

Static restock thresholds break during seasonal periods. A product that sells 10 units per day normally might sell 30 units per day during Prime Day or Black Friday. If your restock threshold is set to 21 days based on normal velocity, you will run out much sooner than expected during peak periods.

Jarvio addresses this by using recent sales velocity (7-day window) as the primary calculation during periods when velocity is accelerating. When the system detects that your 7-day velocity is significantly higher than your 30-day average, it automatically adjusts the days-of-stock calculation to reflect current demand rather than historical averages.

Multi-Account and Agency Inventory

For sellers managing multiple Amazon accounts or agencies managing inventory across client accounts, Jarvio runs inventory checks for each account independently. Alerts are routed to the right team members or client channels so the person responsible for each account gets the information they need.

This is particularly valuable for agencies offering full-service management. Inventory monitoring is one of the highest-value automations because a prevented stockout directly translates to preserved revenue for your client, making the value of the automation tangible and measurable.

What Jarvio Does Not Do

Jarvio monitors inventory and creates alerts and tasks, but it does not create FBA shipments. Creating a shipment in Seller Central requires interacting with the web interface (selecting products, entering quantities, choosing shipping methods), which Jarvio cannot do. What Jarvio can do is prepare all the data you need so that creating the shipment manually takes minutes instead of the usual 20 to 30 minutes of analysis and planning.

Frequently asked questions

How often does Jarvio check inventory?
You control the schedule. Most sellers run daily checks, but you can set hourly monitoring for fast-moving products or weekly for slower categories.
Can Jarvio create purchase orders?
Jarvio creates restock tasks with all the information needed: product name, current stock, recommended quantity, supplier details. The actual purchase order is placed by your team using your existing supplier process.
Does it work with FBM inventory?
Jarvio monitors FBA inventory data from Amazon's SP-API. For FBM, it can track sales velocity and create restock alerts, but does not have direct access to your warehouse inventory management system.
Can it update my inventory spreadsheet?
Yes. Jarvio can automatically update Google Sheets with daily inventory levels, days-of-stock calculations, and restock recommendations.
Does Jarvio send inventory to Amazon FBA?
No. Jarvio monitors and alerts, but creating FBA shipments is done through Seller Central. Jarvio can prepare the shipment details (which SKUs, how many units) so you can create the shipment quickly.
